Keys to the game: Arizona Edition

Battle in the paint

Toledo came out physical in their 62-59 seasoning opening loss against Arizona. Both teas committed 16 personal fouls in the contest. The Rockets also controlled the paint outscoring the Wildcats 26-18 in the lane. Arizona did their best to stop UT from driving to the basket with five blocked shots.

Back and Forth Game

The game was an exciting one with 6 lead changes. Both teams went on several runs that kept the lead changing throughout the game. The score was also tied 8 times in the hunt for victory.

Charity stripe not so charitable

Missed free throws were the Rockets’ kryptonite today against Arizona. As a team, UT went a total of 11-17 from the free throw line unable to capitalize on many three-point play conversions. UT will look to revenge their season opening loss when they travel to South Bend, Ind. on Wednesday Nov. 18 to take on Notre Dame.
